The list, kept short
No three-page menu, no seasonal syrup wall. A short espresso list and a short filter list, each drink made the same careful way every time.
Fewer choices done properly beats more choices done in a hurry. That is the whole idea behind the list.
Slow, on purpose
A pour-over takes longer than an espresso, and it is meant to. Order one when you have a few minutes to actually sit with it rather than take it to go.
It is the unhurried version of the same coffee, made the same way, just given the time it asks for.
Built around the tree
The room is built around a tree growing straight through the middle of it. Every table in the brew bar sits somewhere in its light.
It is the one detail almost everyone who visits remembers.
